CREATING BEAUTIFUL SMILES WITH
Cosmetic Dental Services
Creating a beautiful smile for a patient is extremely rewarding for the dentist as well as for the team, and this should never be taken for granted. We are blessed with the ability to change someone’s self-esteem, confidence, and, possibly, the course of their life. From subtle changes to major repairs, we can perform a variety of procedures to improve your smile. There are many techniques and options to treat teeth that are discolored, chipped, misshapen, or missing. We can reshape your teeth, close spaces, restore worn or short teeth or alter the length of your teeth. Common procedures include bleaching, bonding, caps, crowns, veneers, and reshaping and contouring.
TOOTH WHITENING
Discoloration occurs in the enamel and can be caused by medication, coffee, tea, and cigarettes.
Discoloration also can be caused by your genetic make-up or simply getting older. Bleaching can be performed by the dentist in the office or, under supervision, at home. Many patients enjoy bleaching at Dental Office because it is more convenient.
Typically, whitening at home takes two or three weeks, depending on the desired shade you wish to achieve. Whitening in the office may call for a 45-minute visit to the dentist’s office.
LAMINATES AND VENEERS
Laminates are placed over the front teeth to change the color or shape of your teeth. Laminates are used on teeth with uneven surfaces or are chipped, discolored, oddly shaped, unevenly spaced or crooked. Laminates are thin pieces of porcelain or composite bonded over the front layer of your teeth. Little or no anesthesia is needed. Laminates are used to treat some of the same problems as bonding. The dentist will slightly reduce the enamel layer to compensate for the added thickness of the veneer. The procedure requires the dentist to take an impression of your tooth. Porcelain veneers are prepared at a dental laboratory and once received the veneer is cemented on the reduced tooth surface and cured with a halogen light beam. As the Porcelain Veneers are fabricated in the laboratory & therefore have a longer life expectancy and color stability than composite laminates.
GUMMY SMILE AND CORRECTION
A smile is considered a “gummy smile” if a significant amount of gingival tissue (gums) can be seen as a person smiles. Although a gummy smile is considered a normal variation of human anatomy, many people with gummy smiles are very self-conscious when smiling. Fortunately, these smiles can be corrected with simple periodontal surgery procedures.
FULL MOUTH REHABILITATION
Full Mouth Rehabilitation corrects imperfections in bite position and enhances the appearance of the smile. Anyone with short, worn teeth or those that are chipped and broken throughout the mouth would be an excellent candidate. Combining the science of Neuromuscular Dentistry with the artistry of Cosmetic Dentistry, Full Mouth Rehabilitation creates a smile that is functional, comfortable, and beautiful.
TOOTH JEWELLERY
This is the latest thing to add a sparkle to your dazzling whites, you can now have a sparkling crystal glass design or something in gold or a twinkle of ruby or maybe an aquamarine blue diamond shining on your tooth. These tiny tooth accessories are great fun and add a zing to your pearlies!!!!
The tooth jewelry used and the procedure for applying it are absolutely safe! The application is a very simple 15-minute procedure. Just like an orthodontic bracket, the design is bonded on to your tooth structure. You can have it removed at any time, or simply replace it with another one. Since there is no drilling involved (it is directly bonded to the tooth surface), it doesn’t harm your teeth and is absolutely pain-free!
